Yes, while out in service with Sara and Tammy for like 8 hours straight we came up with many a strange jokes and ideas. Among which the above quote is taken. It is my favorite. I was beyond elated yesterday as well, since I was finally able to place my second Greatest man book with a kind older woman. She said she'd enjoy reading it very much. :)

In other news I have a few more sketches this week, older ones from classes again. I'm running out of my scanned buffer, so I'll have to get to doodling again. I feel really good today so I may work a bit on Twin Earth as well, or paint, or just do a few writing work shops to warm the motor. We'll see, I make no promises to myself since those usually go awry.

Quick update before bed. Gotta go out preaching early morning tmro. Here's a few sketches from the past few weeks. The first ones a cute sketch from the back of the card I sent Karen for her wedding. I loved it too much to part with it entirely.

Hi every one! I've survived yet another week, and also remembered to update! How wonderful is that?! Anyway, I've had a much better week than the past few despite having so much to do. It seems like when I don't worry too much about how things will work out things just seem to fall into place well, not perfectly but well.

Been watching this supper cute anime called Yumeiro Patissiere about a sweet little middle-schooler who's dream is to bake cakes that make people happy. Really it's great Its got flavors from Shugo Chara, La Corda d' Oro, and Full Moon Wo Sagashite. Marion, if you're reading this we're so watching it when I come home for break.

Speaking of anime I saw a pretty interesting argument as too why so many kids are watching anime more than American cartoon. Beyond the purely obvious fact that American cartoons have degraded beyond recognition, this person's idea actually pointed out a reason for the degradation. Everything is slap stick, emotion to American cartoonist now has become taboo. This can be readily seen from comparing Disney's older and newer endeavors. Where as in recent times their money making schemes that emphasizes kids to date and what not, their old awesome movies like The Rescueers (1977), emphasized the fact that the heroin was an orphan, her sadness, being kidnapped ect. When you think about it it's pretty heavy themes in that movie as a whole, now a days everything's pretty well sugar coated. Sad yes. But another reason those movies have become classics.

Just a small rant to keep me occupied. But in any case, here are a few doodles for this week. Hopefully I'll get some coloring done while at home next week. See you all then!

This was me playing around with the idea of Yun having been alive before the current arc, then close to death, she was 'downloaded' into a new embryo. Or some such nonsense. It made sense at the time, I think the ideas pretty much scrapped, I'll just say she's a born genius.

This one was sposed to be bobby doing a cat stretch, but turned out a bit more provocative than I'd intended, I'm still messing with it. Debating on whether or not to finish it since I am fond of her back and legs. The bang tied up on the side of her head also makes me happy.

This one is by far my favorite. I was on this crazy drawing high where I spent nearly 2 hours sketching this one. It's Adrian sporting a shorter hair cut on a beach in Puerto Rico. Chewie's behind her, defending her bag against a rabid crab. I'll probably be coloring this one soon. The whole crazy outfit by the way is courtesy of a class mate. What till you see it colored, it'll blow your mind. By the way she's saying "I Diosito, que Pueblito."

Tall Person Evaporate

Yeah, I watched it so sue me. It only took 3 years. I can understand how it could be some peoples guilty pleasure. Anyone who gets the reference is just as guilty as I am right now. LOL

Anyway, I've had a wonderful weekend. One of those really long really satisfying weekends. We just finished our visit with the circuit overseer who really delivered some top notch Bible based talks on the resurrection and keeping watch on our spiritual heart condition. I also spent the night with a really awesome family that took really good care of me. I don't think I'll ever be able to thank them enough. I also am ecstatic because I also officially have my final schedule for college before I graduate in the spring. Pioneer was also amazing and Karen also got married. HOLY CRAP. It so surreal. Needless to say, I'm very excited and looking forward to lots of new and wonderful experiences.

Anyway, enough of my ranting I have homework to do and most people want sketches anyway. The good news is that I finally got around to scanning all the stuff I've been sketching during my conbio class. Which means sketches enough for at least three weeks. So here hoping I continually update for a while.

The sweetness pulls me through

I'm sitting here planning my life for the next month or so. It looks like I'll be able to spend a good amount of time in field service without getting stressed, and I'll be able to go to my first Anime Convention over in Tampa. Lastly, I'm really excited about seeing Transformers in IMAX toward the end of the month. It is going to be amazing.

I've also been able to put some time aside everyday to work a little on some traditional art and some digital art surprisingly enough. I was able to finish one of the chibis I've had in the works for a while and lay the flats for the others. Here they are for you!

This ones a small treat since this was the original in progress pic. I finally got it all inked and did what I could for her legs.

I remembered to update this week again! Happiness. These are a few sketches I had spread out through my notes from this past spring's classes. I'll be working on a few new colored pieces since I'm out of school now for the summer so hopefully there will be more color on this little blog. Hopefully too I'll be able to get a new banner up for this journal. I've started getting tired of the purple layout so I was really leaning towards a warmer palette. Maybe like a golden yellow-orange and a sky blue. We'll see. I'm really just trying to remember what I'd planned because well I threw the plans out with my old home work. D:

But anyway, here are the sketches for this week with a few bonus photos at the end from my awesome avian field techniques class.

If you're confused about the title go ahead and watch the video for this week. You'll only be more confused. So anyway, classes ended yesterday, so I'll hopefully be able to get some of my own personal projects up and running. I'm hoping to paint a lot this summer and get a few idea i have on canvas and maybe on paper too. If they come out nice they might end up become featured products at my cafepress (http://www.cafepress.com/tehchaos and http://www.cafepress.com/Twin_Earth) and zazzle shops (http://www.zazzle.com/nanifox). I'll be working on those over the summer too, looking into a premium account and hopefully getting my website online. Once all that take off I'll see what I'll do next! So been a while, I keep forgetting to update, je. Anyway just a few quick sketches and a work in progress this week under the cut.

So hopefully I'll have something for next week. haven't updated cause i don't really have much to post, (that I like). But anyway I got hw and stuff to do. Should have been out in service and hour ago. Ugh. bad nani.

In other news tho. I have about half of Twin earth outlined which is like amazing. Haven't been able to work on it lately because of quizzes to study for. But hopefully once I have a good idea where all the characters are and what they're doing I'll be able to pull it all together.

Also, I finished my website. *cheers* I'm waiting for my dad to post it to his server. I still need to tweek the gallery some to make it look better, and I also need to change the links page. But over all it is finished. Hopefully My presence online will be better felt with that up. So good things coming up soon. I'm really excited.

Yep yep, cause I promised. In any case here's another update with of course class doodles. Here are the select few I personally like the most. Enjoy!

Bonbon being cute. I actually really like this one surprisingly. Je

Playing around with Bonbon's design, she really is sposed to be meatier than my other characters, not really fat so much as "thicker," I just have a hard time drawing that. Darn anime and your sailor moon figures.

I really just like her face. That's it.

Playing with avian and goliath designs. Avians seem so cliche but I love the idea of bird people. Not very original I guess, but I like it. I'll have to keep working on their design to make them as unique as possible.

Playing with goliaths, this one in particular is my fav. You can see cute lil avi on it's back if you look closely she's all passed out. I really love these creatures. They're so fun to draw. Came up with a bit of a life cycle and history for them while drawing up this one. Hopefully I'll get the details ironed out and tell yall about it in a later post.

I really need to start drawing comic strips for teh cha0s instead of just random characters doing stuff. If anyone remembers any of the jokes from years past comment and let me know. I'll draw them up to practice and try to get a nice template down. One thing about my projects. They may take years. But they all eventually get done. Jejeje.

I'm pretty new at trying to market myself though. So I'm open to any suggestions people may have. I'm looking into promotion and listings. But I've never been quite good at it. Sorry for the long wait...

Had winter break so I was focused on a bunch of other stuff than internet. My computer dying over the break also probably had something to do with my lack of updates. So real quick here are a few doodles that are a few months old and a special finished piece at the very end. This first one thought is by far my favorite it's so simple and cute and the character expressions came out exactly how I wanted them too the first time. was so squeefull. *giggles* enjoy!

A few doodles of what the Twin Earth gand would look like as fuzzy animals and also a new species for the Twin Earth world a mooeep. Only Troy will be able to fully appreciate this species.

This is me trying to figure out how the heck people with big wings would get clothes on their bodies. i half want them to be nudists so I won't have to worry about it any more. XD If you have any good ideas please let me know!

This one was my last Gaia commission so I went all out on it only to find out that the one who commissioned it was banned AND had broken up with his girlfriend about a month before. Talk about not being courteous enough to tell me to cancel the trade. Either way it came out quite nicely I think so I'll be using it for merchandise later on at my Cafepress shop!

Stupid funny

Yeah, you ever watched a show that was stupidly-funny? Not like "Oh that's clever chuckle," not rolling on the floor I'm gonna die funny. But stupid funny. You know like Love Hina or Tenchi muyo? Inevitable in my case I love harem animes especially a reversed one.

Ouran High school has got to be one of the most idiotically hilarious shows I've seen to date. Quite different than the last one I saw. But if you wanna laugh there's one you might like. Warning though, if you've seen fruits basket Hunny-chan will probably annoy the heck out of you. Or maybe that's just me. *shrugs*

In other news i'm conveniently overlooking the fact I didn't update last week. I was a train wreck. Very gruesome. Disgusting. But I've returned shimmering and sparkly with pencil in hand a few few sketches that surfaced while I should have been paying attention in class. I'm so screwed. I'm so screwed come exam time.

Regardless, I'm happy right now. I wanna dance. Come dance with me!

The in-progress pic, fixed Joli a bit more, I like her arm position more and I figured out the problem with her legs, it was too short. Scanned this before I fixed it tho. So you'll see it on the finished inked piece.

Just some concept art trying to figure out how the ear wings work. I always draw them open despite them having so many diff positions. Hi yall,

Had a pretty busy morning, but man am I glad it's Friday. I have a project I'm working on for myself and you get a quick peek here today.

These are helping me practice my coloring on the comp. Slowly but surely I'm learning. There are four total of these chibies I plan on coloring on the computer and printing out as stickers. I'm really excited so I hope they come out well!

Mayo grows hair in the sun

Here for the weekend putting up with my boyfriend poking my ticklish feet. I dragged him and his bro home with me to go to Busch Gardens tomorrow. So right now I'm procrastinating on doing my hw by posting.

You get a double dosage today with both the in progress pic and another one I've been playing around with.

I fixed the legs somewhat, he still looks like his limbs are too short too me. *Will try to fix* I worked a bit more on his face and I'm finally happy with the expression on his face. Added a few clothes details and I especially like the patch on Joli's face. He's in his guard uniform while she's in the prison garb. Thought it'd be a nice contrast, though you'll be able to see it more once it's colored. Her legs are starting to bother me now so that will be one of the next things I work on. Again any critiques would be most welcome!

This one is more spur of the moment a purely for my own amusement. There's really so many things about these two and this picture in particular that simply aren't true. For starters they aren't an 'item' in my story, if they ever meet they'd have a sibling oriented relationship if any at all. Both characters are significantly younger in my comic too so yeah, while I was thinking of using this as a splash page for a future website i figured it would give off the wrong signals about the contents of the story. Either way i still love it. I really love how the characters designs of these two work together.

Also, I FREAKIN' LOVE HER EAR WING...yes.

Hope you like these sketches! I have a lot more since I've been doodling a lot in class. As far as a current youtube video i'm going to have to say crazy kirby wins the prize this week.

Been a rough week, what with being sick and having massive assignments due I've officially screwed up my internal clock. Normal people sleep at night right?

And I found out what an electric violin was the other day. It's sound is wicked awesome and I really can't explain it. The best I can do is say well if a regular violin has a sad note to it like crying an eclectic violin sounds just as sad just wailing more so than crying. Or you could just listen to this video and be dumbfounded like i was. Enjoy.

Gonna head out in a few minutes to sell some used books and mail out my letter to Alicia. Totally had a blast drawing doodles all over her letter one of which came out better than I expected. I played around with it this morning in photo impact and came up with the following monstrosity.

Not entirely sure if I like it or not. Oh well a better colored version should surface at some point any way. I haven't worked much on the in progress pic cause of this letter so you'll get a preview for that one next week hopefully. Sorry sorry.

After a long and crazy day I'm finally taking a breather. Two exams and a massive hw assignment will take it out of you. Though I should be doing homework. Live Journal is my excuse right now to not do HW. So you get a few doodles from me.

I'm sure someone out there is so laughing at me but online manga?! It feels so illegal. But no more so than walking into a Barnes & Noble reading books and walking out. *Guilty pleasures* I no longer have to wait the agonizing 3-4 months while they translate to find out what happens. This music is actually made by a voice synthesizing program called Vocaloid. It's probably the most ingenious thing ever and an easy way for crazy people to make J-pop anime music. Basically you type in your lyrics and create a tempo and beat with the program. It then uses your information to create a song. It's pretty spiffy, and just as expensive. I'm totally saving up to make my own anime one day. Animate it in Flash and add my own music. Seriously how sweet would that be? So anyway I need to stop by the post office before heading over to Troy's house to make a super awesome display case for my insect collection. Should be interesting.

Oh and my dumb TA pinned one of my butterflies to early and now I think she's still alive. This makes me so sad. *sticks her in the freezer for the third time*
