Hi every one! I've survived yet another week, and also remembered to update! How wonderful is that?! Anyway, I've had a much better week than the past few despite having so much to do. It seems like when I don't worry too much about how things will work out things just seem to fall into place well, not perfectly but well.

Been watching this supper cute anime called Yumeiro Patissiere about a sweet little middle-schooler who's dream is to bake cakes that make people happy. Really it's great Its got flavors from Shugo Chara, La Corda d' Oro, and Full Moon Wo Sagashite. Marion, if you're reading this we're so watching it when I come home for break.

Speaking of anime I saw a pretty interesting argument as too why so many kids are watching anime more than American cartoon. Beyond the purely obvious fact that American cartoons have degraded beyond recognition, this person's idea actually pointed out a reason for the degradation. Everything is slap stick, emotion to American cartoonist now has become taboo. This can be readily seen from comparing Disney's older and newer endeavors. Where as in recent times their money making schemes that emphasizes kids to date and what not, their old awesome movies like The Rescueers (1977), emphasized the fact that the heroin was an orphan, her sadness, being kidnapped ect. When you think about it it's pretty heavy themes in that movie as a whole, now a days everything's pretty well sugar coated. Sad yes. But another reason those movies have become classics.

Just a small rant to keep me occupied. But in any case, here are a few doodles for this week. Hopefully I'll get some coloring done while at home next week. See you all then!

Yeah, I watched it so sue me. It only took 3 years. I can understand how it could be some peoples guilty pleasure. Anyone who gets the reference is just as guilty as I am right now. LOL

Anyway, I've had a wonderful weekend. One of those really long really satisfying weekends. We just finished our visit with the circuit overseer who really delivered some top notch Bible based talks on the resurrection and keeping watch on our spiritual heart condition. I also spent the night with a really awesome family that took really good care of me. I don't think I'll ever be able to thank them enough. I also am ecstatic because I also officially have my final schedule for college before I graduate in the spring. Pioneer was also amazing and Karen also got married. HOLY CRAP. It so surreal. Needless to say, I'm very excited and looking forward to lots of new and wonderful experiences.

Anyway, enough of my ranting I have homework to do and most people want sketches anyway. The good news is that I finally got around to scanning all the stuff I've been sketching during my conbio class. Which means sketches enough for at least three weeks. So here hoping I continually update for a while.

I'm sitting here planning my life for the next month or so. It looks like I'll be able to spend a good amount of time in field service without getting stressed, and I'll be able to go to my first Anime Convention over in Tampa. Lastly, I'm really excited about seeing Transformers in IMAX toward the end of the month. It is going to be amazing.

I've also been able to put some time aside everyday to work a little on some traditional art and some digital art surprisingly enough. I was able to finish one of the chibis I've had in the works for a while and lay the flats for the others. Here they are for you!

I remembered to update this week again! Happiness. These are a few sketches I had spread out through my notes from this past spring's classes. I'll be working on a few new colored pieces since I'm out of school now for the summer so hopefully there will be more color on this little blog. Hopefully too I'll be able to get a new banner up for this journal. I've started getting tired of the purple layout so I was really leaning towards a warmer palette. Maybe like a golden yellow-orange and a sky blue. We'll see. I'm really just trying to remember what I'd planned because well I threw the plans out with my old home work. D:

So anyway, classes ended yesterday, so I'll hopefully be able to get some of my own personal projects up and running. I'm hoping to paint a lot this summer and get a few idea i have on canvas and maybe on paper too. In other news tho. I have about half of Twin earth outlined which is like amazing. Haven't been able to work on it lately because of quizzes to study for. But hopefully once I have a good idea where all the characters are and what they're doing I'll be able to pull it all together.

Also, I finished my website. *cheers* I'm waiting for my dad to post it to his server. I still need to tweek the gallery some to make it look better, and I also need to change the links page. But over all it is finished. Hopefully My presence online will be better felt with that up. So good things coming up soon. I'm really excited.

Had winter break so I was focused on a bunch of other stuff than internet. My computer dying over the break also probably had something to do with my lack of updates. So real quick here are a few doodles that are a few months old and a special finished piece at the very end. Yeah, you ever watched a show that was stupidly-funny? Not like "Oh that's clever chuckle," not rolling on the floor I'm gonna die funny. But stupid funny. You know like Love Hina or Tenchi muyo? Inevitable in my case I love harem animes especially a reversed one.

Ouran High school has got to be one of the most idiotically hilarious shows I've seen to date. Quite different than the last one I saw. But if you wanna laugh there's one you might like. Warning though, if you've seen fruits basket Hunny-chan will probably annoy the heck out of you. Or maybe that's just me. *shrugs*

In other news i'm conveniently overlooking the fact I didn't update last week. I was a train wreck. Very gruesome. Disgusting. But I've returned shimmering and sparkly with pencil in hand a few few sketches that surfaced while I should have been paying attention in class. I'm so screwed. I'm so screwed come exam time.

Hi yall,

Had a pretty busy morning, but man am I glad it's Friday. I have a project I'm working on for myself and you get a quick peek here today.



These are helping me practice my coloring on the comp. Slowly but surely I'm learning. There are four total of these chibies I plan on coloring on the computer and printing out as stickers. I'm really excited so I hope they come out well!

Been a rough week, what with being sick and having massive assignments due I've officially screwed up my internal clock. Normal people sleep at night right?

And I found out what an electric violin was the other day. It's sound is wicked awesome and I really can't explain it. The best I can do is say well if a regular violin has a sad note to it like crying an eclectic violin sounds just as sad just wailing more so than crying. Gonna head out in a few minutes to sell some used books and mail out my letter to Alicia. Totally had a blast drawing doodles all over her letter one of which came out better than I expected. I played around with it this morning in photo impact and came up with the following monstrosity.
